If there are any newbies looking for a thorough introduction to LA quilting...from selecting thread colors, selecting pantos, selecting free hand designs, loading a quilt, aligning and using a panto pattern all the way up to great, fun free hand designs, Myrna's Introduction to LA Quilting 2-DVD set is excellent. I have no affilliation other than thinking it was just what I needed to see when I was new and overwhelmed by all there was to learn. There are many other instructional DVDs on specific quilting techniques, but for a newbie, this one covers it all very clearly and well. She walks you through two quilts from first look to finished.
