MtnBarb
Hmmm, quilted boots! Sounds like something I could really use during the winter for around the house. My feet are always cold! Cool machine, Laura.
Mercedes
Hi, Aren't the old machines cool! I have quite a few of the old treadles, hand cranks and toy machines. Some of my favorites are the old Singer 12, Florence Treadle which sews from side to side instead of front to back, Jones, Wilcox and Gibbs, Pfaff, Midget and I could go on and on - way too many to list them all. I actually sewed a quilt on the FLorence Treadle - it was soo much fun. You can sew whether the electricity is on or not and you'd be surprised what a great stitch some of these old machines can sew. Not only a great stitch but they sew through anything. My down fall is sewing machines, the old and the new. Mercedes (Kay)

Mercedes
Hi Mary, Well, I'm glad I'm not the only one. I also have a couple of 301's - they are an amazing machine, a couple of freearm featherweights and tables and on and on and on. I have worked on all my machines, oiled, hunted parts and tried to ensure almost all of them sew. I spend a half day going through a box of screws at my local sewing machine fix it place, just to find a screw to fit one of my old machines and I did! Keep on Sewing.....Mercedes(Kay)
