DoryJM
How many of you advertise in this "yellow book" and have you gotten referrals from there? I'm trying to decide whether to advertise and then whether to list just my company name and/or do a business-card sized ad.
mrsbishwit
I never heard of them before, how mainstream is this and does it cost to advertise in it? Also I would contact others in the yellowbook and ask them if they thought it was worth it. Word of mouth and pounding pavement has always been my best way of advertising. Good luck
ffq-lar
My opinion so you know what that is worth:)--it is too obscure (meaning most people don't know about it) to be of much use for customers to find quilting services. They are mostly in the hands of professional quilters--not piecers. Another thought, if you were hiring a longarmer, would you go to the "yellow pages" and start calling, or go to the LQS or Guild and fellow quilters to ask for referrals? AnnHenry
I have never seen a copy anywhere! Not in quilt shops, not at quilt shows, not at IQF, anywhere! So I don't know what one gets for their advertising dollar. It strikes me as longarmers advertising to other longarmers.
