char pietruk
Does the screw wear out that holds the needle in? I haven't changed brands of needles but am now having a problem with the needle loosening up after maybe 2 passes and falling out. I have a Millie, about 5 yrs old. LadyLake
I haven't heard of the screw wearing out. Sometimes mine does get loosened (not often), but I just tighten it again. Are you tightening it hard enough?
char pietruk
I am using the screw driver and tightening it. I tried replacing the needle with another one from a different pack also.
quiltingjoyful51
You can put the screw in from the other side and see how that works.
Nadia Wilson
Yes, the screw can become worn. The part that wears on the screw is the part that actually holds tight against the needle...it becomes worn with a curve/indent to it so the needle falls out no matter how tight you tighten it. I have replacement screws in stock (I'm in Canada) or you can call Amy to see if you can locate one closer to you.
