Neher-in-law5
This is a pattern that Susan Cleveland gave as a freebie at one of her show/tell classes. I've wanted to make it for a while so I made it for small challenge with a group of friends. It's about 20 x 30, not quite the size of a mini! It would be fun to reduce it to mini size and the pieces wouldn't be too hard. This was quilted with Invisifil thread, the new stuff I have come across. I used a red clear in the reds, blue in the blue, and antique white in the white and border. It is some nice thread, really sinks into the fabric so the quilting shows without the thread being the focus.
Linda G. Craig
Lovely job, Madelyn. Your flying geese are so perfect. WTG!
Neher-in-law5
Thanks Linda, Those "flying geese" are really prairie points. There is also a fine gold piping around the flag that doesn't show up very well in the picture.
Linda G. Craig
Oh that is so cool! Now I can see the gold piping too. Doesn't it feel good to do a project like this, so pretty, but doesn't take too much time. I enjoy smaller projects thrown in once and a while, gives me a great feeling of accomplishment and great fun.
