Omega QW
How sad! I'm sorry for your loss. Everyone says, "Let me know if I can help in any way", but very few persons ever get called upon to do so. When a distant relative died, I got their address book and with family help, composed, xeroxed, and mailed a letter to everyone in their address book. I included the details of the last days, funeral services and burial information ("She requested a protestant service and ground burial.") Include the address of whomever wishes to receive responses to your letter. Lots of times news like this doesn't reach the people on the fringes until the Christmas card. I was told later that it was the nicest thing I could possibly have done for them.
