kijabequilter
A teenage friend of the family recently was killed in a car accident. Her family is wanting me to make a quilt from her clothes. I am collecting ideas if any of you have done a quilt like this. I am not sure yet what kind of clothes, all t-shirts would be easy...I just saw the fan quilt that was done, and I like it, but I think that pattern is too "old" for the younger siblings to enjoy. Calicoquilter
A friend's 25-year-old daughter died last year and I made a t-shirt quilt for her. If I can remember how, I will post the photos. She loved it and she later told me that when she showed it to her family, another daughter said, "Hey, that's my shirt!" Apparently, her sister had borrowed a shirt that was later given to me with the other t-shirts and ended up in the quilt. Fortunately, they all had a good laugh about it. dixieqwv
This simply quilt has always been one of my favorites. It was made for a child from his father's clothing http://home-and-garden.webshots.com/photo/2489407140094604031fqLMEp I'm in the process of making 2 quilts from this pattern of my in-laws clothing (watch out for the music on this site (ugh)) http://itseams.blogspot.com/2008_03_01_archive.html

nora123
Hey Guy's just thought I would chime in here. I recently made a quilt for a friend who's son drowned. I used my EQ 6 to design it and it turned out really nice. I only had a few pieces to work with. Try to keep it on the simple side. My memorial quilt for my father turned out very nice and went together really fast. I just love it.

ffq-lar
This is an easy Bonnie Hunter design-- www.quiltville.com --made almost completely from dress shirts and flannel shirts. The only added fabric was the red for the hourglass block and the border, and the narrow blue border. It has a great scrappy look.
