carolinequilts
I have to ship my Millie to APQS from Canada. I was going to use UPS, but was just wondering if there is someone else out there from Canada who has done this and would share their experiences? Thanks! witha'K'quilting
Just curious...how close to the us border are you? Would it be worth a trip and send fedex freight or ups freight from inside the states? I am sorry your millie needs to go in for repairs. I am certain that it will come back ready to crank out some quilts though.
carolinequilts
I'm about 1 1/2 hours from Niagara Falls. I thought about that. UPS charges a brokerage fee of $75. I'm not sure it is worth $75 for me to drive 3 hours. Just thought maybe there was a different service someone has tried.
quiltlover03
Caroline, when I upgraded my Freedom a few years ago I shipped the Head to APQS via UPS. Was fast and the least expensive way. I always save my original boxes so, the packaging was easy, I did all the forms on line from the UPS Site, they picked it up and that was it. Fed-Ex was expensive and Canada Post over the roof expensive. UPS was the best way for me to go.
quiltlover03
ps even with brokerage fee I believe my bill was less than $100.00. Canada post wanted $180.00 as did Fedex and I had tracking and insurance on my machine.
