Primitive1
I would prefer not to do bindings and only have one customer that asks me to totally complete her quilts, she does cross-stitching and I do the rest...so I charge .12 per inch for machine bindings, .25 per inch to sew down by hand, and .30 per inch if they are curved bindings...hoping to discourage people but I do have one who will pay me to do her bindings. I figure if people make a quilt top, they can do bindings...but oh well.....
Susanne.Hughes
With Lyn H's price for binding, I'll even be prepared to send my quilts over there for finishing!! Lyn, you do need to raise your prices or else ............... your secret is out and you'll get lots of takers!! Cheers,
Dave-Jane
My price is in line with the rest - they want me to do the binding I will but they will pay for the time. I do have two clients the that bring their binding ready and I sew to the front by machine for 5 cents an inch - they hand sew it to the back thmeselves.
