newmillie2010
t-shirt is dark, with black border. i am considering using QD Black Poly for this but before i create a train wreck thought I'd check with the pros. I've always used either an 80/20 blend or the QD 70/30 blend ... in the natural 'color'. but i don't want to see this batting in all that black border. what do you think? QD Black Poly ok or should i do the Hobb's black 80/20? or is there something else? Thanks ahead of time.
LFQuilts
Either of your choices for black batting sound fine. However, I have done a few 'dark' t-shirt quilts using Warm & Natural and have no problems with the batting showing. If you made the t-shirt quilt and have scraps left, I would quilt a sample with batting that you normally use and see if you have a problem. If you do, go with the black batting. If you don't, use what you have on hand. Good luck! It's all a learning process. Lynn
juliagraves
I love QD, and have successfully used black poly on dark quilts. I would use it, because even if the batting doesn't beard, sometimes you can see the batting through the hole. Julia
