jbnt9999
Been quilting along and everything fine. Loaded next quilt and have had nothing but problems. Tension is fine, but milli started going thump thump when going right to left from back of machine. Cleaned wheels, rails, checked cams, measured table. Im ready to give up and have someone come and adjust the machine. There is not as much thump thump when going left to right??? and it seams stronger in the middle of the table and stronger after the machine has been on awhile? I can get one row quilted then am struggling with everything. Im located in VA. anyone close?
Mary Beth
Is there a seam? Sometimes when I am quilting I hear a thump too, may not be the same thing, but sometimes a seam will do that.
Guest Linda S
How thick is your quilt sandwich? Check to see if you have enough clearance between the machine head and the take-up roller or the leveler bar. Sometimes the machine will get a bit bound up when the quilt is fat. ffq-lar
Have you checked to see if your table is level? Check for level on top of the table over each leg from front to back and in the center in both directions. Sometimes the center will twist or torque a little out of level from settling and use. Mine would thump once and then drag in only one area and re-leveling fixed it up. Good luck! Let us know how your problem was resolved. Bekah
also check to see if the bolts are tight on the carriage. I had the same problem and after we tightened those bolts, it was much better. i think the remaining bump is operator error:P
