SKQuilts
Does anyone know if George can have an after market stitch regulator added?
cbear
I have never heard of a stitch regulator being added to a George, and I think I remember it being said, (a few years back), that it would be a very difficult thing to develope for a stationary machine like George. I am curious though, about your reference to off market stitch regulators. Are you refering to something designed for stationary machines or for the stand up long arms? I know Bernina makes a stitch regulator, but that is the only one I have heard about. Thanks
Gator
Great question. I know APQS said that they couldn't put one on George. However, have you tried a George? Pat Sloan had me sit down and "play" with her George at a show. It sewed beautifully without one. It's a lot different then trying to free motion on a domestic. It had lots of control using the foot control which doesn't feel anything like a DSM. If I have room I would love to have a George for making totes, purses, jackets, etc.
