NanaFuller
after practicing on some fabric, i loaded a qult i didn't care too much about. well, it turned out pretty good. kept everything square and nice, but i did have a 4" wrinkle in the middle on the back that i didn't notice when i was quilting. I think i should have moved my machine out of the way when i was rolling back and forth. I think the fabric must have got skewed with the extension piece for the rulers. I'll take pictures of my next quilt :P Anyway. making progress. I've also been practicing my drawing and it's getting MUCH better. I even came up with a leaf that I love. I'll take a picture of it and post later. Thanks for all your support!!!
Enchanted Quilting
When I first started quilting I kept a log called "things I learned"...It was very helpful. Of course we all keep on learning new things everyday!
Guest Linda S
Good for you, Ann Marie! Do you clamp the sides of your quilt? I use parts of an old QSnap frame to keep the sides smooth, others use Feather Light clamps or Renae's Red-E-Edge clamps to keep things neat. I make sure I look for pleats each time I roll. I saves a whole lot of heartbreak in the end!
NanaFuller
I will make a note of that. the crease was in the middle. I think it happened when I rolled backwards with the extended base on. I should have moved my machine, it was too close to the take up bar. I'm learning soooo much!

CrazyAboutQuilting
Way to go on completing your first quilt! Now keep going and make sure to take pictures. We all had to start at the beginning and it really is fun to see how everyone improves as they keep going so don't be too shy to post your pictures.
