luv2qlt
A while back, maybe within the last three months or so, someone posted a message that included a poem to be put on the back of a kid's quilt. The poem passed on the message that the quilt was to be used and loved. I have done a search but cannot come up with it. Can anyone help?
Bonnie
Here is the little poem that was given when I was having so much trouble with the little yellow quilt. Its from grammydiane in SD. This quilt is made of cloth and thread To place upon your little bed It's not an heirloom just to keep But to lie upon as you count sheep Pretend it's a raft adrift at sea Or just cuddle up when you watch TV So use it up and wear it out I promise I won't yell or pout Just tell me when its days are through And I'll make another one just for you

Patch
Bonnie, I have two things to say to you. First: Ditto what Shana said! Sniff.. Second: What a fabulous bunch of quilts you have on your website!! You GO girl! Can't wait to get a website. I'll have to look at yours and others' to see what's the best way to do it. So glad you're all here! Patch P.S. Sniff.... still loving that poem. May I use it too when I make my kids' quilts? (Someday! They're only 12 and 16 now!) Bonnie
Thank you for the kind words......but I can't take credit for the poem...it was given to me by one of our APQS sisters..grammydiane in SD, I'm not real sure where she got it, but it does say a bunch and yes I'm sure that we all can use it. Bobette Miller
I love the one just posted but here is another one. It's Your Quilt It's OK if you sit on your quilt. It's OK if your bottle gets spilt, If you swallow some air And you burp, don't despair: It's OK if you spit on your quilt. There are scraps old and new on your quilt. Put together for you on your quilt. If your gums feel numb 'Cause your teeth haven't come, It's OK if you chew on your quilt. We expect you to lie on your quilt. If you hurt, you may cry on your quilt. On a cold rainy night, Don't you fret; you're all right; You'll be snug, warm and dry on your quilt
