Darlene Epp
Hi Chris, I don't use the thread cutter very often, but it's there as a convenience when I need it. Someone else mentioned when the top thread breaks or runs out. I'd use it then so I didn't have to reach underneath. I've also used it when something jammed and I wanted to get the bobbin case out but the bobbin thread was caught somewhere. There are other times when it's come in handy too, but I can't put my finger on exactly what the circumstances were right now. I'm a "get on with it" kind of gal, and don't pay much attention to HOW I got on with it! LOL Will pay more attention next time I need to use that cutter. Beachside Quilter
That's just how I use it, too, Darlene! I also use my thread cutter when using boards from the rear of the table and cut the bobbin thread to realign for the next row. Quick and easy!!
