Click on the dropdown arrow next to your username in the upper right corner of the screen and the "Personal Messenger" option will be there. Click on that to take you to your Forum mail box (what used to be the U2U in our old forum). The Inbox can only hold a limited number of messages. You'll see the dialog boxes on the left that allow you to delete conversations, save them, etc. It probably just needs a little pre-spring cleaning to open up space for more messages. You can also access the Personal Messenger by clicking on the little "envelope" icon near your login name at the upper right of the page. That takes you directly to your inbox where you can see new messages you've received, then open and read them (and then do what you need to with them.) Let me know if you need more help!
