Has anyone used the accuguide ruler? OK, here is a dumb question: How do I know what size my hopping foot is? They mention 3/4 foot and 1/2 foot.

Hi JudyLee,

I believe all hopping foots on the APQS are 1/4 inch, I have a freedom and mine is 1/4 inch from the needle to outside edge of hopping foot. Take a seamstress gauge if you have one and measure from the needle to the outside of the hopping foot.

Where in Wisconsin are you? I am in Marshfield, just wondering.

New milli feet are 1/4" - which is pretty much standard now. If you have an older machine that needs a snap on adapter foot, then you are looking at buying the larger size.

I don't have the accuguide, but another similar device. I bought the 1/2" ruler for my millie. The overall foot is 1/2" and 1/4" from the needle to the foot edge.

Hi JudyLee-

I just bought the Accuguide a couple of weeks ago. Didn't even think about what size my hopping foot was. But It fit perfectly.

I must say, I was very impressed with it. I was doing some detail work with lots of curves, and the guide made it very easy. I had so much more control in the tiny spaces.

Congratulations on you new Milli! You're gonna love it.

Could you describe exactly what this is and what it is for? I don't believe I have ever heard of it. A picture or link would be great. Just want to stay abreast of what is out there. Maybe I have seen it and don't remember, wouldn't be the first time!

I was surfing around looking at all the great stuff out there and found Donita Reeves web page, where she has listed the accuguide. It sure looks good, but I wasn't sure how the feet were measured.
