peglu
Not sure why this is happening. I've never had skipped stitches before. I changed my needle this morning and now I can't get things back in synch. I am getting big skipped stitches when stitching up, towards the back of the quilt. Things I've tried: changing the needle again; changing the bobbin; loosening the quilt sandwich; adjusting tension. Any other suggestions? I just put my last needle in. Thanks for any help you can offer. Peggy
shirleyl
Try turning your needle a little bit. Shirley

Gail O
So that the eye of the needle is between the 6 & 7 on the clock.
peglu
Ok, so this was the craziest thing. I couldn't get it right and the bobbin thread seemed really tight, no matter how much I loosened the bobbin case. I decided to time it and I found that the retaining finger on the hook assembly had totally slipped out. The inner portion of the hook assembly was just spinning loose. I can't believe I didn't break a needle in there. All fixed now and the machine is retimed. Beautimous stitches now. Thanks. Peggy.
