Ginkgo leaves panto or detail the large oanel by outlying the features in the panel then freehand a ginkgo or other oriental type design on the remainder of the quilt. Neher-in-law5 Posted August 5, 2014 Report Share Posted August 5, 2014 Trace or outline the panel flowers and crane, in the sky mimic wind currents, in the sashing borders do a line of ginko leaves. In the outer border probably have to do piano keys, although the side borders would be fun to do a winding feather in the blue but that doesn't go well with the bottom/top borders. In each of the squares I would find a motif/stencil that coordinates with the Oriental design of the whole quilt. Let us see the finished work.
