Bonnie in Ok
This has been occurring occasionally since I got it back from the spa and I don't know what is the cause. Sometimes I can run it for hours and nothing and then other times I can turn it on for a few hours and it happens. I will be sewing along just fine I believe it happens when I stop and then the machine decides to take a stitch by it self and makes a small bang noise when it does it seems like the lights flicker too. Don't seem to have a problem with the up/down so I don't think it is the #8 screw. Any ideas?
barbm
Sounds like a short somewhere. Call or email APQS service with your symptoms - they should be able to walk you through finding the issue! Be sure to remind them that your machine was just in for its spa treatment. jmcclannan
This happened to me a couple of years ago and I'm sure Amy will know just what to do. With me it was a power supply issue in the machine although it seemed more like demon possession.
Bonnie in Ok
Well this is what I did last night I removed all the covers and looked at all wires for any thing that could have been pinched and didn't find anything moved the wires around and made sure the covers didn't press on any of the wires and replaced the covers. Did more quilting last night and didn't have any more issues with the bang stitch. So don't know it this was a temporary fix but will get with Amy to be sure.
