Hi Kimi.

Make sure "longarm quilting", "quilting", "quilting for hire", and "quilting business" are part of the description of your business. Those phrases are the most likely to be used in a search.

You can pay to have your business "featured"---the sites that have "sponsored" next to their info have paid to have their business listed on the first page. Or you can pay to have a robot access your site a zillion times to move it up to the near-top. Either way you'll pay...

The more specific a search is, the more likely your site will show. So if a customer looks for "longarm quilter Sherwood Oregon" you should be near the top. But "longarm quilter Oregon" might not even show you on the front page. The top site in a search like that (if the owners hasn't paid to be featured) will be the most popular site---the one that's been accessed the most during a certain time frame.

Another thing you can do is have a Facebook page for your business that you link from your web site. Then when someone finds you they can easily find you again.

When you describe your business, think of as many different words you can think of to describe your business.  While I know it is a longarm, spell check says its wrong, so include "long arm" quilting.  As my friend who is in the website business, describe your business with a 1000 words.  Again, you want your name/business to pop up matter how they search for a business; custom, computer, etc. quilting.

Good luck.
