lmeimann
This is a new one on me. So I'm using a circlelord board- ribbons and then on the next quilt the Baptist fans. I have the stitch length set at 11 and everything seemed to be going well but half way through my 4th pass (or so) Millie seemed to be struggling a bit and I notice that the stitch length has passed 13. Reset and noticed that the stitch length sometimes wanders up--shorter stitches--and sometimes wanders down-longer stitches. It happened using both boards. By now, I'm checking carefully to be sure I have not hit a wrong button and that nothing is nudging that button. I've never had that happen before. Is it a maintenance issue? or something wearing down? I cleaned my wheels and they were not very dirty--blissed table. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks. Primitive1
Unless you have accidentally touched the stitch length button while you are sewing, try it again and watch to see if you are inadvertently touching the button....you may need to call APQS and ask them to help you figure out what is causing it... lmeimann
No, it happened enough times that I know I was not accidentally touching anything. Have been working on a custom quilt today with no problems at all. I'll email APQS to see. thanks
ffq-lar
Sounds like you need a board replaced if your spi aren't holding. They'll send you the board and instructions for changing it out.
lmeimann
Thanks, I'll email them after work to see what could be happening. Didn't happen at all this am --for 3.5 hrs, but that was much slower work.
Busy Quilting
Are you working from the back when this is happening. Could you be putting the slightest bit of extra pressure on the back where the encoder wheels are and they are slipping.
