judyday Posted November 6, 2015 Report Share Posted November 6, 2015 I am starting to plan the designs for my small quilt,33"x50". I purchased the blocks but I do not remember the fabric company. I pieced it by hand this summer while traveling. I believe it was during the time we were in Indianapolis for their state fair. Wonderful fair by the way. Georgeous quilts there. I think the same design in each chevron. Some will be feathers. The tutorials the group suggested has helped me perfect mine. I think the others should be mostly curves to complement the geometric layout of the chevrons. I will think about the bordersame later. Cagey Posted November 6, 2015 Report Share Posted November 6, 2015 Checkout Angela Walters website and books. She has a couple of quilts designs that you could use in your quilt. She used different designs in each line of the chevron as it works its way across the quilt top. I think you can easily find a number of designs you like, and more importantly ones you can stitch out. Let us see it when it is done. Probably should have done the red one first but I still don't have a vision for it. Saw a video on YouTube for the rulerwork. I really enjoy this.
