Sharon Deming Posted December 20, 2016 Report Share Posted December 20, 2016 I had the same issue last year. My guess is that your leaders may also need to be squared up. Just sewing the zippers back on probably won't change much. I squared up my leaders (which involved trimming, hemming, and reattaching the zippers. It was a laborious effort, but worth it. Sheri Butler Posted December 20, 2016 Report Share Posted December 20, 2016 Also from what I understand, Sharon is correct. The fabric leaders can get stretched "causing" the wavy zippers! Now, I cant remember if cutting 6", 8", 10" is the correct guestimate to cut off. I know I did see a video a few years ago on this. Maybe looking thru you tube.....? If I find it, i'll repost. Ok. Here's the method showing how to attach zippers. NOW, when you watch this, i'd do exactly what she did here, but coming up farther on the leaders, sew a straight line where it looks taught without any waves in the leaders.
