Deb Hatt
I just bought a used Millie, I had used it many times at the previous owners home but now that it is my home it has power but won't sew. The light comes on but handle buttons won't work so the needle won't go up or down and it won't sew. Any suggestions?
barbm
If your Millie is an older vintage, you likely need to turn your speed/stitches per inch up, in order to get it to stitch. Press and hold the "control button" on the right handle and press the green button - you'll see the indicator on the front of the head move from the far left towards the right. I usually stitch at 9-11 spi.
RunningThreads
If it is a Canadian machine there is a fuse under the top cover. See about 2:49 of the video. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=hKsutcZFmj8 Nigel
Deb Hatt
Thanks for the replies. The machine is 2015, and all the lights come on so I don't think it is the fuse. When I first came on the forum I saw a post just like my problem and it said a cable was not connected properly but now I can't find the post. Deb Hatt
SOLVED! My husband found that one of the cables was connected wrong.
