kuda
I hope I post this picture correctly. What's the best way to quilt this nursery rhyme quilt? It has nine blocks total. Should I meander around the applique, echo quilt or McTavish? Or something else? I know I'll get great ideas from y'all!! Thanks, Karen.

sewlinzi
Just a thought... I did a similar quilt for a friend. The nursery rhyme characters were attached by bondaweb and hand blanket stitch. I did SID with invisible there. There were various small fillers etc but I think McTavishing would look great. BUT on mine I thought the characters looked a bit flat (probably the bondaweb) so they could somehow do with more quilting to give them more pouff! Maybe a small all over with invisible would have worked? I guess it depends whether you think the quilt will be used or kept "for best". Quilting Heidi
Karen, I would sid around the characters and then McTavish or some other meander. In the sashing I would do a loopy design. What a sweet quilt. Be sure to post pics! Heidi
ramona-quilter
Karen, I think this is a sweet little quilt. I would try to keep it simple. I like Linzi\'s idea of SID around the applique to set it off. I would do a small (not tiny) or even a medium stipple would be OK in the blocks. I think the McT might be too sophisticated for a baby quilt. JMO. I also like Heidi\'s idea of a loop-d-loop in the sashing. I sure hope you post a photo (800 X 600) of the quilt when you finish it.
