MarieBrewer
When you put a level across the leveler roller and quilt top roller, how much higher is one roller than the other? Of course this has to be done where there is no leader. I\'m thinking my quilt top roller is too low. I seem to have a fair amount of drag where the quilt top roller is. The back of the machine seems to be good. I have a flannel quilt on now and it seems to drag too much. I can just barely get my second knuckle under the leveler roller and the machine bed. I have small hands and I just lowered the leveler because there was too much bounce. Maybe I should have raised the quilt top one. Any ideas/suggestions anyone? TracyeQ
I don\'t know about quilt clearance, but I raised both my levelor and quilt top rollers so my extended base would glide under them and not cut down my quilting space so much.
smorris
Hi Marie I have my levelling bar 1/2" above the throat plate on the machine (make sure its level all the way across the table) and I have my top fabric bar wound in so there is not bolt thread showing. This works well unless, as Tracye said, you have the expander base on, then I\'d have the fabric roller set with 1/2 to 1" of thread showing. Hope that helps sue in australia
