BethDurand
How about flannel? Beth
socalgal
Flannel is good. Make sure that whatever you use can take heat. Poly can melt if you put a hot dish on it. Cheryl
seakitten
The thinnest loft of Quilters\' Dream cotton, called "Request" is nice, much lighter than W&N.
ramona-quilter
W & N is 87% cotton 13% poly and lays pretty flat. Quilter\'s dream is 100% cotton (4 different lots to choose from) and will also lay flat. I have used both for table clothes and been happy with the result. I don\'t think that I would worry about poly melting. You wouldn\'t put a hot pot on a regular tablecloth, would you? I still use trivets when putting hot pots/casserole dishes on my table.
