peglu
Does anyone know of somewhere I could order a thread "stash"? I don't have any threads for new LA and don't know which ones I want. I don't have anywhere local to check them out. Any recommendations of what to order and from where? Thanks, Peggy

Quilting Heidi
I love superior threads. You can order from them directly or order from Kingsmen. I also use Signature cotton.
lizziesgirl
Peggy, At Superior you can order a sampler box that has a lot of different threads that can be used on the longarm. I did this and it really helped me to know which ones I really liked.

Mary Beth
Peggy, Do you have your machine yet? If you ordered it form APQS, ususally you get some thread to get you started. That if very helpful. Then you can start buying as needed....or not needed as we all do
peglu
I did get some thread with my machine to get me started. I ordered a sample set from superior last night that will let me try a bunch or them. I am still sitting here with my machine ready to go, too afraid to use it. Two days, and haven't loaded a practice fabric yet. Today is the day though. I'm going to do this. Thanks all for thread help. Peggy
katiefly
After I got my machine set up, I cleaned my sewing room, and rearranged the furniture twice before I finally loaded a quilt
Hawaii
Peggy, Take a deep breath and GO FOR IT! You will have sooooo much fun, and when you hit "glitches" you have the best tech support in APQS and all these wonderful quilters on this forum! Mary Beth
Peggy, I know it is scary. But it's yours!! Have you watched your little CD or DVD or whatever they give you now? Just do what they say, take your time...Barbara is right...breathe!! Such important advice! You can do it. Don't expect your designes to be perfect right off....just play...write your name...try doing circles and loops and just play.
Quilting Heidi
Peggy, You can do it and you will do fine!!! Push that button and go! Of course breathing is a necessity.
