MonoPoly question

Recommended Posts

Now that I finally understand bobbin tension and my Towa gauge, I'm thinking of getting really daring and doing my next quilt with MonoPoly. It is multicolored, and no one color would work. It is a half-price/square inch practice quilt so I'm not about to do custom with a dozen thread changes.

So my question is - Can I use MonoPoly in the top and bobbin both?

Jolene:

There is no such thing as a dumb question, unless perhaps the unasked question.

The MonoPoly (pronounced mono - poly, not pronounced Mo-nop-oly like the game) is a polyester thread, not to be confused with a nylon thread. The early nylon threads were like fishing line, but they are much improved now. The quilters here seem to prefer the MonoPoly over the nylon.
