Replacing Pantograph Plastic

Recommended Posts

I have a very old Ulitmate II and the plastic has yellowed and is very brittle. I need to replace it. Has anyone done this? Does anyone have a suggestion on where to get it?  I would have thought Staples or a hardware store would carry something I could use but I can't find anything.

Just remove the old plastic covering and make sure you get all of the sticky parts off.  I decided to purchase the gridded plastic and am glad that I did as I use the grids alot for placements and to write on with dry erase markers. When you apply this you will need to help the memory of the plastic to relax, then just use blue painters tape and tape down the top long side.  You are done and ready to start quilting! :D
