lizziesgirl
I am posting pictures of my SR encoder wheels because my stitches vary when in SR. The wheels do slip slightly the bottom on only when going to the right from the back of the machine. The top when going to the front. That is when I am moving the encoder wheel with my finger. Sorry still can't post 2 pics at the same time. This one is the top encoder:

sewlinzi
I occasionally run into problems with my little rubber wheels too but I did wonder if I may be wearing them out more quickly than expected because I do an insane amount of micro quilting on SR? JoAnnHoffman
It looks like your big wheel is too far away from the rail. If you move your head left to right real fast do you feel a slippage feel? If you do your carriage is too loose and your front wheels on the carriage need to be tightened more towards the rail. Your small wheel can be pushed forward to fit better into the groove of the big wheel by loosening the bolt underneath. You can see the bottom bolt under the big wheel in the picture, when it is loosened you can move that whole box with the small wheel closer into the big wheel then retighten. Also clean the both wheels with alcohol to remove the carbon build up.
lizziesgirl
Wow what a great company APQS is. Amy called me and we went over several different things and we might have it narrowed down. To everyone out there - THANKS you all are the best. Sallyquilt
Sheryl-So for those of us that may be having the same problem, what suggestions did Amy have for you? Thanks for sharing, Sally
lizziesgirl
Sally, Give Amy a call, she goes over things step by step and narrows the issues down. She is really good about describing what things should look like and how they should feel. Every situation is different and I would hate to tell you what worked for me and have it make your situation worse.
