Laurie
What is the magic touch in getting out dry erase markers from fabric? I just got about 1/4 inch worth of marker on some cream fabric - broke all my own rules! I am so not happy   I need help fast!
barbm
Laurie, We feel your pain!!! Check out the thread at http://www.apqs.com/quiltboard/viewthread.php?tid=9004&page=1#pid78734 don't know if it will work for your combo of fabric/marker, but at least there are some ideas there. Good luck, and let us know what works - for the next time one of us does this.......

DB
There is also dry erase cleaner. It comes in a small spray bottle. Dianne
Laurie
What I have done so far is to just dab it with a damp paper towel. It has actually faded to the point of not being able to see it. Also, I have managed to place my beadboard stitching right over it! Thankfully it was a light marker and a light mark..... My main concern, however, is that when she gets it home and washes it - with soap - the mark will reappear. That would be even more horrible! barbm
Laurie, Can you find a piece of fabric similar to the one in your quilt, make a mark, then test-wash it? Might ease your fears ---- or might lead you to warn her.....
Laurie
Barb - I am going to do just that!!! I think the mark is gone.... but I haven't looked at the back this morning yet.... I just hate when stuff like that happens
