Hartley Fence Salt Lake City Graduating Class

Recommended Posts

We met in Salt Lake City Feb 23rd. Professor Myrna

Ficken and her gaggle, ahem, I mean graduating class

for the Hartley Fence.

What fun. I met a bunch of quilters, learned so much

and laughed so hard. I think that it is safe to say that

a good time was had by all.

I have already stoked up my Hartley Fence circle maker

and am quilting circles on a new quilt. It looks great. I'll

post pictures when done.

OHMYGOSH..

Thank you Linda. And thanks for posting the picture! It was awesome meeting you and the rest of the gang! The week went so fast. I have to thank all of the great ladies that came to the classes. I know I had SUCH a GREAT time:D. I think everyone did. You are right Linda, we laughed a lot. Hopefully everyone learned a lot. It was so much fun to see the wheels start to turn in the Creating Spaces class. These ladies did a fantastic in every class.

I do think a reunion is in order.

Lets see, where can I go next???????????????

Look what I did today. I'm so excited. I had a busy quilt with a boring backing and I thought outside the block like Myrna taught us and I think it turned out great. Pictures don't really do the front justice. Last week's classes were great.

Donna,

Are you the Donna behind me in the photo?

Thanks for posting the photos. You can really see the quilting on

the back.

I recognize the pea pods we practiced in class. They are perfect on

this fun quilt. Looks great.

As soon as I get the class roster, I plan on sending out photos I

took while in class to those who want them.

Renae Haddadin's Mini Rays template just arrived. I plan on

using it with the Hartley Fence to create some concentric circles

and sun rays in the center of a Turning 20 (well 25).

Happy quilting.

That is me. I've been on fire this week. I've gotten three quilts done and I can probably get another done tomorrow (two more and I'm caught up from being gone for almost a week). Unfortunately the less exciting real world is screaming at me to do more than quilt. I've got two papers I need to edit, one on the colonization of Mars and one on scintilation (sp? - satellite jamming by solar flares) that I need to edit. If I knock those out tomorrow morning, then the sky is the limit.
