hollyc
Sort of like the sisterhood of the traveling pants, my quilt is at MQS. Lightning couldn't possibly strike twice, it took Rookie of the Year at MQX in april. If you see it there, give a shout! It travels more than I do lately. dtreusch
Ok, I'm confused. Are you saying that you entered the same quilt again at MQS? I remember the Rookie of the year last year at MQS. It was very cool. Was that your quilt?
hollyc
not mine last year at MQS Rookie at MQX last month entered in rookie category at MQS now. You can show a quilt as a Rookie for 1 year...it is traveling in the future too! Until September 2009 I can never get enough time in the day to figure out pictures, I have it on www.fotki.com/hcain there's an ebay and an award quilt category on there...can't remember the specifics now...work won't let us have access to picture web sites. dtreusch
Gotcha Holly. Now I understand. I remember your win at MQX last month and seeing a picture. The awards are presented tonight at MQS. I hope you get a ribbon there also!!
JoleneK
Question about Rookie of the year - how long can you have been quilting before you are no longer considered a rookie? Does it go by how many quilts you've quilted, hours at machine?

Here are the actually rules from the MQX manual: Rookie of the Year: To qualify for the Rookie award, you must have first started machine quilting and/or purchased a quilting machine between January 1, 2008 and December 31, 2008.
