Channel Lock

My side to side channel lock is not engaging at all. When I click on the engage (red) button -- nothing (no clicks at all). So it appears the magnet isn't knowing I tried to engage. The top to bottom channel lock works fine.

I couldn't find anything in the manual on how to fix this. Any suggestions?

Kari did you try engaging from both sides of the machine. I would make sure it isn't a connection problem first.

Yes -- I doesn't engage from either side of the machine.

I had a problem with a channel lock (can't remember which one), but I talked with Amy at APQS and she walked me through all of the things to check and how to make a minor adjustment. Give her a call in the morning and hopefully she will have it working for you in no time. Have your hex wrenches handy.

Have you checked the wheel itself, the one that has that channel lock on it? Once my channel lock had somehow gotten twisted on the wheel, and once I straightened it out, it made contact once again and worked fine.

Kari I'm sure it is a simple adjustment. I don't have my manual here but give Amy a call and I'm sure she will have it working in no time.

Also, try scooching the mylar table top around a little bit. The table could have moved off center. If it's not set right then the channel lock magnets won't catch properly on the table where the magnetic strip is.
