jmcclannan
OK, we just installed my new Rulermate. It looks like it sits a bit higher than the old needle plate. Will this be a problem? Do I need to raise the hopping foot?
ckeindl
My stable table is a touch higher than my needle plate as well - doesn't seem to be a problem (as long as the roller bars are high enough for it to fit under and the quilt isn't too thick). I did use an extra washer under the needle plate to raise a little - but my hopping foot doesn't seem to go any higher anyway? Let us know how it works out! MarieBrewer
When I installed the rulermate I raised by roller bars because I wanted the machine head to glide under the bars w/ease when there is a quilt on them. I did adjust the hopping foot also. Make a few adjustments and alter as you go.
quiltlover03
I just raised the roller bars, the hopping foot seems fine at the preset level.
Sandra Darlington
My rollers were raised when I (really my son) installed my Circle Lord, so I did not even think about that need when switching to the Ruler Mate. I did not raise my hopping foot.
