Zora
I have just come from working at the Missouri State Fair. None of the (machine quilted) quilts there had the name of the quilter on them. My friend is a judge, and last year there was some discussion about that. The theory, she said, was that the machine quilter was a professional person paid for their services, but the piecing, quilt design, color choices, application of the binding, and squareness of the quilt were the primary focus of the judging, not the quilting. Is it usual in other places to credit the machine quilter, and judge the quilting as well?
