boppinbrandy
This is a wall hanging that has cording through the embrodiery design. It kind of has that parachute effect going on it. The backing has embroidery work on it to and I don't want to cross over it. Any suggestions??? Here is a picture of the front

Quilting Heidi
Brandy, I personally wouldn't worry about the back . There is just no way to quilt it and stay away from that. On top of that all that piping might cause you some issues so flipping it over and stitching on the wrong side probably isn't suggested either. I would probably try to echo the peacock feathers and just nail it down. It looks like the embroidery is pretty dense. I would definitely do a nice filler in the white background area and SID around the piping. HAve fun in the borders. There are a ton of options there. Sandra Darlington
Very pretty and very different! I like Heidi's suggestion for the quilting.
Boni
Heidi is a sharp quilter. Since it's a wall hanging, the backing is not an issue. Dawn Cavanaugh had a video/class about couching. I wonder if you could adapt her method to stitch down the piping?
Hollyrw
I think Heidi is right on. I would use a thin thread like bottom line or sew fine on both the top and the back.
Liam
I agree with Heidi and Holly. I have quilted a couple E2E dense embroidered quilts and used YLI wonder invisible clear thread, it quilts nice and doesn't take away from the embroidery.
