nora123
ok ladies, I am working on my second triple irish chain. I am using so fine top and bottom red on bottom cellery green on top. I am using several elements on this quilt and since it is mine I thought I would take some risks. First border is piano key beadboard, then feathers on the next border in. CC's on all the squares that make up the chains. In the white squares I am using a template that is 4 Fler de lis's in a circle. When I do everything but the template the stitching is great. But when I go to stitch the template the bottom thread shows at the corneras. I have adjusted the tension and still cannot get it right. Any help would be wonderful. witha'K'quilting
Try slowing down when you get to the corners and pause for just a second, then proceed. Hope this helps.
Quilting Heidi
Nora I think it is because you push down with the template and that flattens your sandwich so not as much room for the stitch to form. Try not pushing down hard and see if that helps. The only other thing I could suggest is to loosen the top a tad more since it is pulling the bobbin to the top. Quilting Heidi
Oh one more thought try a bigger needle that won't flex as much.
nora123
I have a 4.0 needle and I am using my topper that is holding the template and I am using a stylus so I am not affecting the layers at all. I will try slowing down see if this helps. Thanks guys. Nora Millennium Washougal Wa
Hollyrw
You may try loosening the quilt sandwich a little. I had the same problem doing a panto recently and that's what helped me.

If so, try running only through two holes. See if that helps.
