MarieBrewer
What do you do to use paint on a quilt that someone is asking for ideas for? I don't know how to get paint to work on a project. Thanks Shana I think you use paint-any suggestions?
sspingler
I've painted on fabric just like I would on a coloring book. Mix with textile medium and paint. Or you could water it down a tad and use like a watercolor. You can also use colored pencils and seal with a textile medium.
IBQLTN2
I think she means the paint computer program to doodle ideas for quilting on. Marie just copy the picture from the forum or wherever and save then open it back up with the paint program and select the sizer or color that will show up to draw with. it works better with the drawing pads but you can use a mouse and get the general idea. then you have to save with another name or you will overwrite the original picture
Quilting Heidi
Marie, You have to open the picture first. I normally just right click on the picture and select edit. It will open in paint. If it is too big you can reduce the size. Then you just use select the pencil and draw. This is much easier to do with a pen style mouse vs the traditional mouse. I have a tablet so I just use my pencil and draw away. Then you save. Thats it. You can change your ink color too. Let me know if you need more detailed instructions.
