Quilting Heidi
For those of you that have the Quiltazoid or those of you on the fence about buying one, check out the new design possibilities using the spirograph attachment. I'm so excited about these designs and I see so many uses for them. This gives a ribbon kind of design and the coolest part - you don't have to buy any additional templates or gears. You can make these designs with the same gears that come with the spirograph so now the sky really is the limit. Check it out for yourself! Adam and Linda are the best! http://www.quiltazoid.com/try-ribbon-spiro-designs

TerriVB
Heidi--I saw that today too!! And I went out to play with it--but ended up trying the feather wreath instead--which works really cool by the way!!! I still have the practice piece on the frame and will try some of these ribbon spiros before I take it off. I agree with you--the possibilities are endless and the designs it makes are so perfect!! Quilting Heidi
Terri, Here is how Adam did the design - stitch the spiro, then remove the gear cartride, rotate the baseplate a notch, locked it, put the gear back in, unlocked the baseplate then stitched the same spiro again. I would imagine that you could even do this another time and get even more designs. I just love all the possibilities! I too love the feather wreath! I just need more time to play! lcquilting
Does anyone know if it will fit on Gammill machines? I have a Gammill Premier Plus. I would love to have one if so!
Quilting Heidi
Contact Adam and see where he is in his adaptions to different machines. I know that he has the adaption done for the Nolting machine. He is wonderful to work with!
Sharon M
lcquilting... I was on the Quiltazoid website today.... thinking of one for myself. Check out the News section on their site, New Quiltazoid Models. Looks like they have developed one for the Gammill and are looking for testers. You might be in luck, and get in on a good deal! Kerstin
Thank you Heidi for the link. I love my QZ and it's so interesting and funny to try the possibilities. At the moment I try combinations of QZ and free quilting ... there were so nice examples a few days ago here at the forum ...

drywatergal
What a small world. Adam and Linda are friends with my best friend who lives in Iowa! She told me about this back when they first developed it. My finding this board must have been meant to be.

drywatergal
Absolutely! Isn't she the greatest? We visited just a couple of months ago and had a wonderful time. I get a kick out of sending her packages now and then. She's like a kid, waiting for them to get there. Just LOVE her!
