Mary Beth
Okay, I haven't quilted in a while. That's probably my first problem. I have Sew Fine on top, prewound in bobbin. My thread seems to be breaking near the needle plate, so I took my Hartley base off, took the plate off, put my Ruler Mate back on (this will be the test to see if I really like my Hartley base better - which I suspect). It is still breaking....what is my problem. Help please.
DoryJM
Have you replaced the needle?? I'm sure you have, but that's all I can think of....
Mary Beth
I think I replaced the needle last time...a few weeks ago...when I quilted last. Man, the Quilt Police are sure to get me now... Okay, it is skipping stitches and this....
Mary Beth
Why is it doing this...any guesses. Is it because I am new again and my machine is trying to teach me a lesson? I can tell you this...I won't slap her!
witha'K'quilting
I have seen this happen to mine too...let me think. Is the bobbin all the way in...if not the thread can wrap around the spindle.
