Bonnie in Ok
I was read about quilting with a Minkee backing and and the comment to use muslin in between to help keep the pokies from comming thru. My question is where would the placement be? Minkee, batting, muslin, top or Minkee, muslin, bating, top.
lindasewsit
I don't know the answer to your question, but I've quilted with Minkie on the back before and not had any problems at all with it... I did not use any muslin. linda

ffq-lar
I'm not sure if this is where it came from, but I recently suggested the muslin liner to bonbon who was having serious problems with a poly blanket (not Minkee) with major pull-through of the fuzz. I have never used a liner with Minkee and it quilts beautifully.
bonbon
Bonbon here.... I've had no problem with Minkee and pokies. Today I finished the quilt I was having trouble with. I suggested to my customer that she let me use poly batting (she did not want any originally) and she agreed. I also used a 3.5 needle as the quilt top was all batik. And I sprayed the top with Sullivan's silicone spray. I still had a few pokies on top but wayyyyyyy better than before. Thanks to all who helped me with this. quiltmonkey
Well, it was I that had the problems with Minkee this week... Link to see here: http://www.apqs.com/quiltboard/viewthread.php?tid=22024&page=1#pid271102 Anyway, I've often quilted minkee with no problems until now I suspect it is the "manufacturer" not me. Apparently different grades of quality out there. Just sayin' !!! Live and learn.
