Tracey
I am undecided on whether or not this is acceptable. Because I have never used metallic thread before, sneaking in the ditch to the next line is bothering me 'cause I can see it. Am I being overly picky?? I just don't want an upset customer. Thanks girls and guys. I appreciate your opinions Tracey

peglu
What I do is to then go back and SID that entire Seam. That would kind of frame your crosshatching. If it shows too much, I stop and start. Remember, you are looking at it up close. It may not show as much from a distance.
BethDurand
I like Peglu's suggestion. Yes, the one section bothers me, but if the whole thing were that way, it wouldn't be as noticeable. Also, stand back several feet and take a look. I always forget that we are standing so close to the quilt when we are quilting and all my errors look enormous. Quilting Heidi
I always make sure I SID in that color if I'm going to travel in the ditch. that way it will blend in and not be noticed.
Tracey
so if I go back after and re do the ditch stitching with metallic it will be fine? I have already done it black. some of the seams would then have at least 3 passes of stitching. I guess I will keep going and deal with it when I'm done the x hatching. thanks ladies
Quilting Heidi
Tracey it won't be a problem to go back. I think you will be happier with it.
Tracey
Thanks Heidi. I think what happened at the top was I got lost with my travel route. The side is going much better. I will go back after with the metallic though. At least then it will be uniform. Tracey
