bstucker
I thought some of you all might be interested in seeing this bedspread that I just finished. My customer is not a quilter, but takes on "projects" for her daughters. She sewed these blocks together, backed each one with an extra piece of fusible batting, and then sashed everything. The material was decorator fabric (with dragon flies), suede, and a double knit. The backing was flannel. Its a good thing I used a very simple pantograph, as it was like walking in mud to move the machine through this quilt. Only the suede fabric caused me problems (skipped stitches) though....I really like the effect of the quilting!

bstucker
Yes, the pattern I used is called "Crazy Puzzle" and can be found at Dave Hudson's site: http://www.patternman.com. Its very easy, and adds great texture to a quilt.
Judi
I thought you just did a freehand meander on this at first - but no - you followed a panto? Looks very nice!
bstucker
Judy, As I progressed with the quilting on this quilt/bedspread, I wished I had done a freemotion meander! I do like using this pattern for a quilt though because it is so evenly spaced and interlocks so well. I don't have to think, and plan when I do it this way....and sometimes that's all I want to do!
