Dar
This thread was very entertaining and right on the money. Thanks for sharing. There is no better family than quilters and long armers. Dar
MaryMacN
Yup! Annoying and funny as it is, you know when others know you're a quilter when they ask..."If I bring my uniforms in to work, could you hem them"!!!
MaryMacN
Meant to add.. Anyone know of a good, witty comeback to "you're a quilter, if I bring my uniforms in to work, could you hem them"? I'm a full-time RN in a small community hospital on the Eastern Shore of VA, a shy 4 years to retirement. Lots of potential business in the future. Joyce
My answer to hemming things. I don't do hem and I don't do buttons. Here is a needle and thread. I'm kinda mean.
sammi357
the string in the cup was NOT the teabag... that cracked me up. regarding hemming: Quilting/sewing is my hobby, and I don't want it to turn into work, or I won't do it. Lucky me, my dqgf is also an alterations lady, so I can say, "Oh! I know someone that does that! Here's her card!" Here's a link to a blog I like, selfish seamstress, she does selfish sewing haiku that are hysterical. http://selfishseamstress.wordpress.com/category/haiku/page/2/
