Hitomi
I have several embriodery applique projects that I have to stitch and ditch around the embriodery design. Using a home sewing machine will take me forever to do them. Can I pin to my millenium and sew it? (It will be much quicker, not having to turn the quilt). I am using Wonder Invisible nylon thread. If so, what about the tension.
Quilting Heidi
Hitomi I would definitely load it on the longarm. Just loosen your upper tension and you shouldn't have a problem. I like to use Maderia monofil. It is nice and thin and sews without any problems at all.
seakitten
What Heidi said, other than that I am a fan of Superior's MonoPloy. There are several good threads out there (and some bad ones); try what you've got first.
saratogaquilter
I'm doing something similar right now. I'm making Christmas stockings. 9 pair. Starting on the backs first and using Superior monopoly. I was wondering about pressing the stockings after I get them sewn together. If I use a pressing cloth on top, will my stitching be o.k.? I've had the thread on since the last project I did. Once I got the tension perfected, I just loved the results. I loosened both top and bottom and then tightened until it was right. It wasn't starting out too good, so I called Dawn. She is an Angel!! Talked me right through it! I was using a Mettler bobbin thread. 9 different colors and I won't have to change thread!
