yankiequilter Posted December 26, 2010 Report Share Posted December 26, 2010 I volunteered to quilt a couple of the guild's donation quilts and this is one of them. The quilt had problems - it isn't square, there is a lot of excess fabric in some areas, seams weren't straight, and it doesn't lay flat. Not my choice for backing but it was provided by the guild, and I don't know who pieced the quilt, but I think that's a good thing. Hobbs Polydown batting, King Tut on top with Magna Glide bobbins. The thread combo worked very well with just a couple of top thread dots on the bottom. I used the Circle Lord Trillium giant templates and that made the quilting go easy.
