lorihufford
I replaced my wheels with M&Ms about a month ago and have loved them, but as I was quilting along tonight, I felt a slight bump and the back wheel on the carriage had totally slipped off the rail. I cannot imagine how this happened, but I lifted the carriage and slipped it back on, but 2 inches later it slipped off again. The wheel in question is (if you are in the back of sewing head, pantograph position) the right side, on the table. Seems to me someone else mentioned a wheel problem, but I don't recall how it was corrected. Any suggestions or help would be appreciated. barbm
Lori, make sure that all your carriage bolts are securely held by their bolts. If one is "wobbly," it can allow the wheel to drop off the rail. Also, check to make sure that your back axle bolts are still securely screwed into the carriage. Beyond that, call APQS first thing in the morning.
witha'K'quilting
sounds like you need to adjust the wheels so that they ride tighter against the frame or carriage.
